A good quality pair of George III mahogany open armchairs with chestnut leather upholstered seats. These very attractive antique chairs have shaped and reeded back supports, the central splats are decorated with swept open crosses with carved central florets.
The chairs have beautifully curved and reeded arms and back supports with well turned arm fronts and front legs. The back legs are are swept back. They would make a good pair of desk chairs for an antique partners desk or partners library or writing table.
Condition: These lovely good quality antique chairs have recently been wax polished and re-upholstered in deep red hide.
