A very good quality English antique Regency open arm-chair made from beautifully figured mahogany timbers. The chair is in excellent antique condition having recently been cleaned wax polished.
The padded seat has been professionally
re-upholstered in chestnut hide.
The chair is well proportioned with a sinuous oval back, a well carved decorative rail, scrolling arms and turned and reeded front legs with swept back rear legs.
This lovely antique Regency Chair is made from the finest mahogany timbers and is in fantastic original
condition and does not appear to have been subject to any restoration
to the frame.
With years of careful use and polishing the chairs has developed
a warm deep reddish brown patina and is a very comfortable chair in which to sit.
This beautiful antique mahogany open armchair would make a very
stylish desk chair for an antique desk.
