An attractive antique mahogany partners
desk from the end of the 19th century with an 'antique gold' leather
with gilt and blind tooling. The writing leather is surrounded by
a band of mahogany with a 'bulls nose' edge. There are three drawers
fitted to each side of the top.
Each of the pedestals is fitted with three drawers to the front
and cupboards to the reverse with fielded panel doors.
All drawers have ash linings, brass locks with keys, brass swan's
neck handles and chamfered drawer front edges.
The pedestals have three fielded panels to both the exterior and
the interior sides and stand on plinth bases with hidden castors.
This is a well proportioned antique mahogany desk and would make
a lovely focal point for an office or home study.
