A large Antique English Victorian Mahogany Partners Desk from the late 19th century made in the 18th century Georgian style.
Measuring 6 feet wide by almost 4 feet deep it is a substantial presence and with nine drawers to each side could easily accommodate 2 people with plenty of storage.
The top has a replacement green hide writing surface with gilt and blind tooling. This is surrounded by a cross-band mahogany and a thumb moulded
edge. It has three drawers to both sides of the top and both pedestals have three drawers front and back. The pedestals have panelled sides and stand on shaped bracket feet.
All drawers have ogee moulding to the edge, the original swan-neck brass handles and brass locks. The drawers are oak lined with handmade dovetail joints.
